Canine Good Citizen ( CGC)

CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs that have good manners in the community and at home. This is taught in a basic obedience training program to qualify for a passing score on the CGC test. Passing scores will receive a certificate from the AKC and are recorded in the AKC's archives.

Obedience Trials

Obedience trials take training up to a new level. There are three Levels of competition in Obedience.

Novice: for those getting started, dog must:

Open: This is the Second level and includes more complicated exercises.

Qualifying Performance

a qualifying score indicates that a dog has performed all the required exercises according to the rules. a qualifying score is when a dog earns more than 50 % of the points for each exercise with a total of 170 points or more after a dog receives three qualifying scores.
